In the mood for love

It isn’t a tavern at all, but the Mary Hopkin’s song suits perfectly with your in love mood if you want to spend a heavenly day or night at Veranda Casa Frumoasa. With a beautiful hidden courtyard and a fairytale inside, designed by the Italian architect Elena Busato, Bucharest’s Veranda Casa Frumoasa has more to offer than just a spectacular tasting menu.

Avi Steintz’s signature restaurant is one of the best in Romania, offering a modern take on French and Mediterranean cuisine that embraces fresh ingrediends and an-all-encompassing respect for culinary traditions.

I’ve tried and I love it: Cheese and Leek Croquettes with Cream Fresh and Red Bell Pepper Sauce, Black Angus Beef Fillet with Red Wine Sauce and Root Vegetables, Pan-Fried Sea Bream Fillet with Tagliatelle, Tomatoes, Kalamata, Garlic and Basil and my favourite dessert, the Moelleux!


You can find also a good wine on their wine list and selections from my favourite house of tea, Mariage Freres.

‘’Once upon a time there was a tavern/Where we used to raise a glass or two…’’. Nu seamana deloc cu o taverna, dar cantecul lui Mary Hopkin se potriveste perfect daca esti indragostita si ti-ai dori sa fii intr-un mic paradis pentru un pranz sau o cina cu The One, la Veranda Casa Frumoasa.

Cu o curte interioara ascunsa destul de bine si cu un interior inspirit dintr-un basm, Veranda Casa Frumoasa are mai multe de oferit decat un spectaculos si interesant meniu. Viziunea lui Chef Avi Steintz se simte imediat pentru cunoscatori, meniul propunand un specific frantuzesc si mediteranean, ce imbratiseaza ingrediente proaspete, dar si respectul pentru traditiile culinare.

Am incercat si mi-a placut: crochete de branza si praz cu sos de smantana si ardei rosu, muschi de vita cu sos de scortisoara si vin rosu, file de dorada cu tagliatelle si desertul meu preferat, un fondue de ciocolata cu fructe de padure si inghetata.

Puteti incerca si un vin bun din lista de vinuri si diferite selectii de ceaiuri de la casa mea preferata de ceaiuri din Franta, Mariage Freres.
