Some spent their Valentine’s dinning in the evening, some spent it watching a romantic movie or drinking rose wine with the girls, but we celebrated the V day visiting the National Museum of Romanian History in the middle of the day. A little bit overdressed, we like it, so stop the gossip – C’est la vie! – for a gloomy day, but perfect for a history hour.
Not big fans of the history in the highschool, we entered the builiding intrigued and curious.
Located on Calea Victoriei, in Bucharest, the museum contains Romanian historical artifacts from prehistoric times up to modern times, Trajan’s Column, the Romanian Crown Jewels, the Pietroasele treasure, but the place is still under reconstruction, as a late medieval site was discovered under the building.
After an hour of romanian history, we left the museum, ate all the heart shaped cakes we found on the way, drunk a bottle of champagne and went to our cheesy and so long-expected Valentine dates. Yes, as much as we don’t like to accept it, sometimes we are humans in the end of the day and surprisingly quite romantic we would say :))
And don’t forget to visit some Romanian touristic spots at least once a month. It wouldn’t hurt! 🙂
