Amazing job to be a flight attendant! We’ve been dreaming about this since we were two little girls. And since it used to be one of the most important jobs for women, dedicated only to beautiful and smart girls, this privilage to be a stewardess was more than a simple job. Travel, fun, money, adventure, new poeple, amazing time and fabulous costumes. All the igredients for a perfect job.
When Air France invited us to take a break in the middle of the day and try the famous costumes collection we instantly got hysterical. Yes, sometimes we act like two nevrotic girls, but this time we really had an excuse. And a really good one. Try to stay sober in front of Dior, Balenciaga, Carven, Georgette de Treze, Maison Virginie, Georgete Renal, Lacroix! IMPOSSIBLE!
From 30s to 2005, a complete history of Air France, an open book about flight attendant costumes from where we chose a beautiful 60s Dior ( big challange for the desiger of the house, Marc Bohan who pointed the change in fashion – elegance&confort started to work cosmically together) and a 50s Georgette de Treze (military allure, but still feminine, with an accent on the waist).
It was an adventure, it was a story about history, tradition, fashion and about a brand that we love… Thank you Air France for making us live the dream!
This post is dedicated to Diana Sorescu who had a dream to become a flight attendant ! We will keep you in our hearts forever!
LOVE,
D&A
